About Me
Here’s where I get to tell my entire story. Almost like a resume, but with a better storyline, and I have the freedom to start with the personal things.
I have a wonderful wife, Kara, and three children: Camren, Jaxson, and Avery. We live just North of Gainesville, Florida, in the small town of Fort White. We love to watch our kids grow and learn, and we love to serve at our local congregation, Glen Springs Church.
I’ve always been creative. I learned to play music, particularly piano, at the ripe young age of four. I quickly grew more and more creative with the music I played, and I decided to branch out to learn percussion when I entered middle school. These musical talents carried me through the remainder of grade school and into college.
I was accepted into the University of Florida, where I began studying for a Business Administration degree, but I quickly realized my creative, people-centered attitude would carry me in a different direction. When I was just a few classes away from my Bachelors in Business, I changed my major to Public Relations. I graduated Magna cum Laude in 2019 from the UF Online program, all while working full-time at Florida Farm Bureau Insurance.
The following year, an opportunity opened up at Florida Farm Bureau for me to put my public relations and creative skills to work as the Digital Media Coordinator. I was entrenched in everything digital marketing, but from a PR perspective. Social media, email campaigns, graphic design, press releases, blogging, you name it. I was able to grow our social media presence almost 15% month over month, and that was coming in to an already-well-established presence!
These skills weren’t new to me, though. I had been working as a creative minister at my home church congregation, Glen Springs Church, local to Gainesville. Since 2017, not only have I facilitated weekly worship services serving in an audio/visual role, but I’ve also served as the church’s graphic designer, copywriter, and part-time marketer. I’ve crafted everything from emails to PowerPoints, and yearly themed graphic portfolios to single, one-off sermon series graphics.
I quickly realized I could transfer these skills to the business-to-business sector, and open a small digital marketing agency. I put my mind to it, gained a couple clients, and decided to dive into the business full-time after a few short months. Thus, Integrated Image Communications was born.
The digital marketing agency became my life, and I ended up specializing in social media management for my clients, and it was wildly successful. I surpassed $100k in revenue projections by the end of 2022. However, I noticed the landscape of digital marketing changing immensely, and social media began to play a smaller and smaller role as the months progressed. So, I began to plan my exit strategy, which was catalyzed by the news that my wife and I would have our third child!
I began working for PHOS Creative while still running my business in the evenings and on the weekends. At PHOS, I sold the same digital marketing services I once sold for myself, but on a much larger scale. I developed relationships, continued to serve in executive leadership of my local BNI group, and drove PHOS Creative toward higher success.
I was approached by a colleague at BNI one morning, who expressed his interest in my work, as he was looking for a Marketing Manager for a new startup company, FileForms. I explained that I was content with PHOS, but I appreciated his interest. He kept in contact with me for a couple months, and finally came to me with an offer that I just couldn’t refuse.
That brings me to today, where I work as a Marketing Manager for FileForms LLC.
Areas of Expertise
Throughout my years of marketing experience, here’s where I shine most:
01
Graphic Design
Creating vivid, engaging graphics is just the beginning. Tailoring them to the correct audience for the correct application? That’s where it gets fun.
02
Marketing Strategy
Anyone can make a social media post and write an email, but it takes intentionality to bring a myriad of marketing tactics together to create a cohesive strategy.
03
Copywriting
Again, anyone can write full sentences, paragraphs, and even articles. But writing in a way that engages and provokes, while also remaining conversational is a different ballgame.
04
Communication and Teamwork
I’ve always been people-centered, so care, collaboration, and inclusion is smooth for me. That’s why working with others comes effortlessly.
